About me
Hello, I’m Whitney OKelley, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the founder of Tutor Tots. Originally from Lincoln, Alabama, I now reside in Oxford with my husband, Grant. I am a proud graduate of Jacksonville State University, where I earned degrees in Elementary and Special Education. Go Gamecocks! With 12 years of experience in the public school system, I have served as a classroom teacher and a reading specialist with the Alabama Reading Initiative. Teaching has always been my passion, and I have never wanted to be anything other than a teacher. My career has been dedicated to building strong relationships with teachers, parents, and students, and I am deeply committed to their success. Throughout my career, I have recognized a growing need for educational consultations, advocacy, teacher support, and personalized instruction. This realization has inspired me to step into private practice and open Tutor Tots. I am excited to continue learning, growing, and enhancing my teaching practice while serving my community and the surrounding areas.
